What kind of work do you publish?
Eleven publishes excellent undergraduate work with sociological relevance. Our journal includes papers from all fields of research, not just Sociology! We accept both short (10-25 pg) and long papers (35-65 pg). See our previous volumes for an example of the length and subject matter Eleven publishes!
Application Process for Prospective Authors
Please read through this page thoroughly to make sure that our editing process is right for you before deciding to apply. Follow the instructions on our submission form to send us your thesis, submission form, academic bio, and an abstract.
We are currently accepting submissions for Volume 9. We review pieces on a rolling basis, will continue to do so until we reach our desired number of papers. If we have already accepted our pieces for Volume 9 by the time we receive your paper, we will notify you as such and plan to review it for our Volume 10 instead.
Editorial Review Process
Our review and selection process is double blind, and your submission will go to three separate reviewers. Each submission and each reviewer is assigned a unique three digit code to ensure anonymity and avoid any bias. After all reviews have been submitted, high-scoring submissions will be reviewed once again by the editorial board who will ultimately select which papers go to publication. Since we process submissions on a rolling basis, the amount of time it takes to complete the reviewing stage varies greatly.
